White Oak for the House of the Lord

I received an email from someone with the most incredible pictures of White Oak believed to being harvested from Adam-ondi-ahman for the Kansas City Temple.

I have not received an email directly from the person who took the pictures, nor have I heard this information first hand.  I hope that it will be alright to share these photos and if not, I apologize and will remove them.  I have omitted the names of those pictured, as they may or may not want to be identified.

These pictures moved me to tears.

This is an amazing historical occasion.  The work of the House of the Lord is progressing quickly.
Truly a blessed day.

Go here to see them.

I need one of those badges.

Right now..

I wish I were there right now.

I can be in the temple here, right now.

Go right now.

Please go to your temple as often as you can.

Thank you Valerie.  I'm right there, right now....in spirit.

Rome Temple Groundbreaking Witness

I still remember the thrill of witnessing thegroundbreaking of the Kansas City Temple. I can only imagine how it felt to be in Rome, when President Monson spoke and dedicated the site for the building of the temple.

A walk down KC Temple memory lane...

You can go here...to Sarah's blog called, Casteluzzo and read her account and her special witness to the Rome Temple Groundbreaking.

Thank you Sarah, for being a fellow Temple Chaser and for sharing your priceless experience with us.

Progression

It looks like things are progressing nicely in KC!

Thanks to Carol Tallant for providing some great update photos.

Elevator shaft...shaping up nicely.

Sidewalks going in....

Looks like the retaining wall along I435 on the east side of the property is completed.

I'm looking forward to some information about the possible groundbreaking of the chapel, next to the temple, this weekend or very soon.  If anyone has details, let me know!!

A Temple for Me

I got my own lovely copy of the artist rendering of the temple in the mail today.

Thank you Bro. Woodward for sending it to me.

I will hang it up as soon as someone pries it from my hands.

I hope you are all enjoying General Conference.
