Call Out

I have an idea of something to keep us busy while we wait for our temple....still waiting you know. There isn't a week that doesn't go by that I don't drive over and check out the temple lot still. A couple of nights ago a friend of mine from high school and her family stopped by for a visit on their way from Alabama to Utah. I gave them directions to the temple lot so they could check it out. They mentioned they would like to take a picture of their family there and it occurred to me...why not have EVERYONE take a picture there and send it to me? So, there you have it...my new chase....

Go to the temple lot...take a picture of yourself, your family, your pets...whatever you want and email it to me. In the subject line, please type....Temple Lot Photo...and I'll submit it here on the blog. Be sure to include your family's name and where you are from, without giving away too many details. Let's see how many photos we can get!
Go here to find out where the temple will be and take your picture. Go on!

No news...

which is not good news. I was hoping by now that I would see some earth movement going on at the temple lot. So far, as of noon yesterday...there's not.
But, the weather is beautiful now...so that's good news!

University of Spirituality

"The temple is the place to grow in understanding of those principles of honesty, Elder Busche observed. 'Temples have been erected as houses of the Lord. They are standing ready to serve as instruments to our own gradual awakening on our inevitable road to eternity.'"
Elder Busche of the First Quorum of the Seventy and president of the Frankfurt Germany Temple

I can't wait to attend the "University" here in Kansas City!

A sad day

It's a sad day but an inevitable one too.

The green chair is gone.

There goes my front row seat.

I guess I'll be bringing a chair with me from now on.
I will miss my friend.

Updates from the chair

Dear Temple Chaser,

I am still patiently waiting for the groundbreaking ceremony to happen so construction can begin and you can REALLY get to blogging. Our fans our waiting. However, as my luck would have it, I have come into some attention lately that I would not have guessed. It has been interesting how a green old vinyl chair like myself could attract so many visitors…people who are actually looking for me. I like it.
I have been become a Geo Caching site. As some of your helper chasers cruised by me today, just to see how things were going, you can imagine their surprise to find a little medicine pill bottle on my seat. Upon further investigation (as that is how one chaser is wired….) they found the following treasurers:Geo Caching instructions
A sign up sheet of visitors
A blue and pink fingerprint smudged bouncy rubber ball Even though the chasers were not REALLY geocaching, they found it a great opportunity to leave a pass along card and a handwritten note (fortunately one chaser had a mini Sharpie in her purse). The note went something like this: There will be a Mormon temple built on across the street from where you are standing.
To learn more, go to http://www.mormon.org/ or google “Kansas City Temple Chaser.” J
They also left $1.20 and a note for the finder to go get a Wendy’s frosty.
I feel so popular!

Love to you Temple Chaser
