No Words to Describe

Because words can't do justice to the excitement and gratitude that was felt at the Kansas City Temple Cultural Celebration...let the pictures speak for themselves.

I was thrilled to be able to watch some of this online that evening.  Thousands of hours of work went into making this event spectacular and memorable for thousands of youth.  For them to perform for the living Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was a well deserved memory that none of them will forget any time soon.  Zion's youth love the Temple!

Thank you to those who sacrificed so much for the youth of this temple district.  Thank you to Valerie Anderson for these beautiful photos.

Look to the "Lighthouse"

"Is there a way to safety?  Is there an escape from threatened destruction?  The answer is a resounding yes! I counsel you to look to the lighthouse of the Lord.  I have said it before; I will say it again:  there is no fog so dense, no night so dark, no gale so strong, no mariner so lost but what the lighthouse of the Lord can rescue.  It beckons through the storms of life.  It calls, "This way to safety.  This way to home." It sends forth signals of light easily seen and never failing.  If followed, those signals will guide you back to your heavenly home."

These words by President Thomas S. Monson can be found in an article from the current (May 2012) issue of the Liahona.

Are we ready?  The Lord's house is almost open in Kansas City.
