My Reservation

As part of my daily trip to the temple site, yes I already know I'm crazy, the other day I noticed someone dropped off their well used, 70's era, Naugahyde, lounge chair right next to the temple site. It's not unusual to find applicances and furniture dropped off in random areas here in the midwest, but I did think it was a bit funny to find this chair poised to have a front row seat to witnessing the rising of the temple. When it was still there today, I figured maybe that seat should be reserved. So...I reserved it. My temple spotter buddies brought me back to have my picture taken, to ensure my reservation.

All kidding aside, it is very beautiful here right now. You should come, you really should.

I got home from work and had more time to read some of your posts. It's so cool to meet another fellow member! MORMONS ROCK! I lived in Utah for 40 years and was so used to seeing temples every where you looked. I've spent the last 7 years living in Massachusetts and we have just the one temple in Boston. I miss being surrounded by members. I miss the days when my beehive class had 27 girls..and that was just MY ward! I'm so glad you guys get to have a temple in your backyard. YAY YOU!

I am so happy. I have been feeling true joy over this, mostly because I truly left a piece of my heart with the people I love in Kansas City. I am just so thrilled for y'all.
By the way, do you even know how great you look in these pics? Absolutely adorable!

Cheryl, i though i would let you know i have bookmarked this blog. I won't just be a lurker. I am slightly jealous over your 7 minute drive (ours will be 90 minutes but that is 30 less than Winter Quarters). I am hoping you will post pictures as the temple is built so those of us who can't visit everyday can still see the progress!

Cherly,
Great to catch up with ya'll. You haven't changed at all. Where exactly in Kansas City are you and the temple? We were there last March for a gymnastics meet for my son,Zac. Wish I would have know you were there. Anyway, I'll keep in touch now. Hey, how many "Naga's" does it take to make a chair? There is no answer, I just remember Steve Hogan and Dan Adams always joked about Naga's when we sat on Naugahide restaurant booths.

LOVE the chair! How fun! I'm enjoying your blog! How fun to be so close to the temple. We're in Olathe, so will have about a 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic. No matter though - I'm soooo excited to have a temple in KC!
